So we started the day with a drive around the Ocean view drive in Esperance. Saw some beautiful beaches and a large lake. The best thing for me was being able to stand underneath a wind turbine as the blades were going around. I now understand why people don't want to live near them they are loud. In Esperance they are away from the housing.
We then left Esperance and headed for Jerramungup a little over 300km away. Again I was the amazed at the amount of water that layed in the paddocks on either side of the roads. I would like to ask the farmers how much of their land does have water laying.
I was also intreged with the forrestries which are gum trees instead of Pine trees. Like the pine tree forrestries the trees all stand erect and in rows.
We stopped at Ravenshope for a break and visited their little museum. It was $6 well spent. Carey was happy to look over a very old Landrover. It made his day. It was interesting to walk through the old goal which was an iron shed with 3 cells which would've been very cold in the day. So much more to look around including an old red telecom phone booth.
We then left and headed onto Jerramungup. This is a small town of 297 people. We found the caravan park easily and entered our accomodation for the night. No coffee or tea. Luckily we carry our own. The best thing about this place was the shower. Great pressure and plenty of heat.
