Happy Birthday Grandad Chris! xx All four kids were awake early this morning and decided to do some craft at the table - all well and good except that the table was right by my head!! Nick and I got up to have coffee outside just to have a little space. We suffered another wet bed overnight and so needed to do laundry. The weather was beautiful so there was a queue for the washing machine by 8 am. Nick and Katharine therefore spent the morning at the coin laundry in Mossman while I stayed at home and did schoolwork with Anna, Matty and Jonny. We had lunch and then drove to Daintree Village for the afternoon. It was much smaller then I expected with very little there. We had a look around the gift shop and ate a Devonshire tea then walked to the Jetty and tried to find crocs on the Daintree River - they were a no show today! Back at the camp we relaxed for an hour in the sun while the kids played on the beach and then went for a long walk. Nick cooked dinner for everyone and afterwards Katharine and I spoke to Grandad for his birthday while sitting in the car - it was the only peaceful spot we could find! We spent the rest of the evening reading outside until the kids fell asleep.
