Everyone was awake by 7am again, this time because it was bin day! We stayed in bed and read for a while and eventually got up to have coffee. We had new neighbours with two young girls and our kids spent the morning playing with them while Nick and I had a peaceful breakfast. When we were all ready we walked to the train station and got the train to Circular Quay. From there we got on a ferry to Parramatta and spent the morning sailing along the Parramatta River. The boat stopped at Rydalmere Wharf as the tide was too low to go onto Parramatta and you had to travel the rest of the way by bus. We decided to stay on the boat and travel back into the city as we were only really interested in a boat ride but the ferry had a forty-minute wait at the wharf and we weren't allowed to stay on! We sat in a park and enjoyed the sunshine and got back to Darling Harbour around 2pm. From there we walked through the city to Wynyard Station, stopping for lunch along the way at a sandwich bar. We caught the train to Chatswood and got a coffee and an ice cream then we hit the shopping centre and bought some groceries for dinner. We finally got back to the van around 430pm and Nick and I needed to sit for a while with our books. Luckily the girls next door were home and so our kids were entertained playing with them. The kids didn't want to come in as three possums sat around our camp while the kids next door fed them some bread! We all had dinner and watched a film before bed and once the kids were asleep Nick and I read for a while.
