Even though the sun was shining it was still very cold first thing in the morning! We sat outside and had coffee and enjoyed the view before having a long, never-ending breakfast - the amount Matthew eats at the moment is astonishing!! We did a couple of loads of washing and Nick made dinner for tomorrow then we knuckled down to some schoolwork. The boys had to do a Maths test today to see exactly where they are up to and they both did really well. Jonny finished much faster then Matty but had misread a number of questions whereas Matty spent much more time on the test and only got two wrong. He lacked a fair bit of confidence in himself too and so when he found out he'd done so well he was on cloud nine!! After lunch we set off in the car again, only taking Joerg this time as Doris wanted to stay and relax in the sun. Our first stop was Murunna Point where there is an awesome beach and a rock shaped like a camel. Ironically its called Camel Rock!! After a few photos we drove on to Mimosa Rocks National Park and parked at Aragunna Beach. We walked about 800m through the bush, finding lots of little wallabies, and stopped at Mimosa Rocks. The beach was a mass of pebbles of all sizes and people had left lots of little cairns on the beach that the 3 smaller ones climbed amongst and added a few of their own. We also saw a giant lizard sunbathing (it was an Australian Water Dragon) and it didn't look very friendly so we kept clear. Once back in the car we drove on to Tathra and had a look around the town. We bought a coffee and walked the beach and then headed back home, stopping in Bermagui for groceries. More cheese and biscuits around the campfire before Nick cooked us all sausages and roast veggies on the bbq. By 830pm it was too cold to stay outside so we said goodnight and put the heating on in the van for an hour or two before going to bed.
