We had more rain overnight but it had all cleared up by 630am so Tally and I went for a short walk and by the time we got back Anna and Jonny were awake and waiting for a game of Gubs - some things become such quick habits!! After another slow breakfast we drove back into the Blue Mountains and this time went to Leura, the prettiest town we've visited yet. The main street was lined with the most amazing blossom trees running down the centre of it and coach loads of Japanese tourists were standing underneath them getting their photos taken. We scored a park right outside a café so I went in and picked up a couple of take aways and found it difficult to leave - the café was full of local jams, chocolates and pickles. We drove down to Leura Cascades and had a picnic over looking the waterfalls. Unfortunately we couldn't do any of the walks as dogs were not allowed but once the kids had had enough we took the Cliff Top Drive along to Katoomba and checked out the scenery as well as stopping at Gordon Falls Reserve. We took a different route home through Emu Plains and Penrith and got back to the van around 3pm. I spent the afternoon finalising the work I needed to do while Nick read and the kids played with the dog. We then took Tally to a local vet for her 10-week-old vaccinations and she behaved very well. She weighed in at 7.8kgs, much lighter then we thought and while we had access to scales we weighed all the kids too!! Jonny and Matty were identical weights and Anna was only 4kgs lighter!! It was after 7 by the time we got home and everyone had gone a little silly, including the dog. We kicked them all outside while we made pasta for dinner then everyone had to have a huge scrub and hair wash as its back to limited water tomorrow. After a quick game to Gubs it was bedtime for everyone and they all fell asleep quickly. Nick and I spent the rest of the evening charging up everything electrical!!
