We woke up this morning to sunshine so we sat outside with our coffee enjoying its warmth. Breakfast took forever and once cleaned up we eventually got round to some schoolwork. Katharine and Nick sat in the sun on the picnic mat to work and I stayed inside with the other three. All of them did really well today and their concentration seems to be improving! We had lunch and then went off to Anna Bay, a lovely little town on the other side of the peninsula. We walked Birubi Beach, which had the largest moving sand dunes in the southern hemisphere. On the way home we called in to Fingal Bay and walked the beach to the sand spit leading to Fingal Point and the old lighthouse. Walking the beach was hard work as the sand was really soft and you sank into it as you walked. The wind was also strong and going against us so by the time we got back to the van my legs ached!! The kids ran off to feed the birds and the rabbits with a lady from the caravan next door and we began to pack up a bit. I made dinner for a change and it was the best meal we'd had in ages (apart from the pub!). Port Stephens has been great but Nick is ready for somewhere a bit more remote with less traffic on the road!

Tornado Locket Hi Kath! Happy bday for a few days ago. I've been busy so I haven't been able to write to you much:(. Looks like your having a great time though.
