Nick woke up with Tally this morning and so I had a sleep in until after 8am. It was a beautiful sunny morning and the river looked very still and calm. The kids went straight down to paddle in it as soon as they got up and were reluctant to come in and start schoolwork. We worked all morning and finished off after lunch, as we'd take so long to get going. Once everyone was finished we got in the car and went in search of water. We drove back into NSW to Mulwala and found a fantastic park on the lake that had a dump point and multiple drinking water taps. A grounds man was busy mowing the grass when we arrived and he was happy for us to top up our containers on top of the car. Unfortunately we could only fill two of them, as our hose wasn't quite long enough to reach them all but it was enough water to see us through until tomorrow. Back at the camp Nick and I spent the rest of the afternoon reading while the kids spent it down at the river. They came back up to wash off in time for dinner and were not allowed back down again due to water shortages. Nick made an awesome risotto and once he'd cleaned up we went for a walk with Tally and Anna leaving the others watching TV. When we got back to the van only 15 minutes later they were all back down by the river so they were given a quick spray with the shower and sent straight to bed - it was only 730pm! Nick and I spent the rest of the evening watching TV listening to them all complain that they couldn't sleep!!
