Woke to the birds and the waves this morning around 730am. Eventually got up and had just made coffee and sat outside when Grace appeared to join us. We all had breakfast together and eventually headed down to the beach for a long walk along the sand towards Byron Bay. We spotted another pod of dolphins surfing the waves and a couple of whales swimming along further out to sea. Grace had bought the kids some lollies, which they were allowed to eat as they walked, and after devouring the whole bag they then ran off all the sugar. From the beach we walked into the village and found an awesome bakery so sat and had cake and coffee before heading home to relax for a while - well, Nick and I relaxed. The kids think Grace's safari tent is the best thing on earth and dragged Gracie back there for a disco! After a small lunch, we took Grace to Lennox Head and climbed the look out to watch some whales swim past, then we drove into Ballina and went back to Lighthouse Beach to walk out to the North Breakwall and watched more whales. We called into Coles on the way home to buy dinner and spent the evening having a BBQ at the camp kitchen. The boys went off for their first sleep over ever and spent the night at Gracie's - I'm expecting them back any mo and will do a few laps of her tent to check on them in they aren't!!
