Woke up to another beautiful day in Sydney. At 7am the sun was out, the sky was clear and the birds were chirping! Nick and I sat outside and had coffee and no one was in a rush for breakfast this morning. By the time we got going it was after 10am. We walked to the train station and caught the train to Bondi Junction, changing at Town Hall. From there we caught the bus to Bondi Beach and got off outside James Packers place and walked across to the beach checking out the swimming pool on the way. We walked the length of the beach and stopped for ice creams and coffee half way along, then walked up to the Ben Buckler Lookout to check for whales. The kids had a great time checking out the rock pools on the way up but unfortunately we didn't spot any whales! Coming back we walked along the back streets checking out the houses and then stopped for lunch in the main pedestrian mall where we sat and listened to a busker singing while we ate. The choice of small food shops right next door to each other was amazing so we all got to pick what we wanted and everyone was happy! It was too nice a day to head home so we caught a bus to Watsons Bay and sat in the park overlooking the wharf with a coffee for an hour while the kids played. The ferry seemed to run less frequently here so we had time to walk the small bay and check out the beach front houses before catching the ferry back to Circular Quay. Then we got on the usual two trains home and walked back to the caravan park just as the sun was setting. We made a spag bol for dinner and let it fester on the stove for a bit while we caught our breath and had a sit down. After dinner it was tempting to put everyone straight to bed just to have some peace but instead they watched a movie while we checked out things to do tomorrow. We were going to take them all to the Lion King but the matinees are all sold out and the evening performances are too late after a full day of activity. It's probably not a bad thing, as it would have cost us both a kidney!!
