Seven am seems to be our natural wake up time in Sydney. The sun was shining again but it was still a little bit chilly so we stayed in bed and read for as long as possible and then Nick made everyone breakfast. The kids introduced themselves to a couple of other kids in the park and went off to play for a while until they had to pack up and go home. We then caught the train to Circular Quay and got straight on a ferry to Manly. The ferry was packed so Nick sat inside with the girls and I stood outside with the boys. The Harbour was a hive of activity with sailing boats everywhere and when we arrived in Manly it seemed equally as busy. There was a festival of some sort happening in the main mall with a salsa band playing and big pans of paella being cooked everywhere. We walked along the beach and then returned to the mall to buy lunch and ate it down by the ocean. We eventually got the ferry back to Circular Quay and caught the train to Chatswood where we had half an hour to do a quick shop before going to see The Lego Movie, as we had some Hoyts vouchers for us all and they were about to expire. The movie was pretty awful but the kids enjoyed it and we decided to grab dinner before heading home. Chatswood has a huge Asian influence with all sorts of different Asian restaurants lining the main street. I had pictured a Chinese banquet for dinner but the kids weren't so keen and we ended up in a burger bar instead. It turned out to be a great choice as the food was delicious and not too expensive. We got home around 730pm, skipped showers and put everyone to bed where they passed out within minutes. Katharine, Nick and I tuned out in front of the tv for a while and then eventually read for a bit before bed.
