Woke up this morning extremely sore and had a horrible nights sleep .... My back was sore and it was too much work to get up and get an advil ... So I tossed and turned and lights on at 630... Slowly made it out of bed and packed up for the day with plans of taking it easy today... After getting ready I was playing on my phone and got an email from my roomies asking for a skype call so was able to have a quick chat with Tina and TL ...... I also have this app on my phone called talkatone so was able to make a couple of calls to my dad and a friend....hopefully will have good luck with wifi to keep this going ... We headed out and found a bar for breakfast .... Guess what we had??? Bread and jam.... And a coffee... Found our way to a bus station and for 1.80 euros we were brought to Pamplona and dropped off at the Plaza Torres....we wandered around there and then found our way to the Plaza Del Castillo found a bench and just hung out and people watched.... I needed more food and for those who know me well know that means.... I need food NOW!! So we found a little bar along the side if the Plaza and they had breakfast that wasn't bread!!! Had this omelette type thing with ham and cheese and potatoes.... Heaven!!! We ventured off and found the Cathedral of Santa Maria with the help of a little old man.... As we were walking along we came across some nuns and my mom wanted me to take pictures.. Which then turned into everytime I saw nuns I took pictures....we spent some time at the Cathedral.... I wandered and took pics... Mom lit candles and did her thing.....once we were done walked down where the running of the bulls happens.... We decided to walk on to the next town 6kms.... Probably not the best idea as it was early afternoon and hot hot hot!!! Hats on and sunscreen applied kinda hot! It was about 3 kms to get out of town and then 3 kms up hill to Cizur Minur... It was a tough walk in the heat... I went on ahead and mom made her way and we met at the Albergue a beautiful place with gardens and a pond with turtles and coy fish ....we sat down to get checked in with the lady and mom looked at me and said coming up the hill in the heat was the first time she thought about going home.....we got settled showered and rid of a few things in her pack .... Talked about tomorrow and we will walk early in the cool morning and see how it goes... One day at a time.... I am becoming aware of my need to get there and be there when the guide says we should and slowly letting that go... Letting go of the fast pace of life is hard I often find myself rushing mom through a coffee... At least I am aware and will try to drink my coffee slower !! Pilgrims supper once again began with beer with the funny English barristers and the Irish vet.... I think my mom is starting to wonder about me and the drink ..... Lol..... But i think these boys will pass on ahead of us tomorrow...The stories I have heard ..... Most I cannot share as they are not G rated!!! But stories of coffins strapped to mini's back in the day were pretty funny.... Back to the albergue.... It is an oasis here sitting in the garden drinking tea with fellow pilgrims....looking at the big hill we have to climb tomorrow.... Tonight we are in an all girls dorm...yeah no naked German man sleeping two feet from me snoring !!! Gnight!!
