Marty says to mom at two in the afternoon looking up the hill to the next town......" who in their bleeping right mind bleeping walks bleeping 20 bleeping kms in 30 bleeping degree weather?? Tell me mom!!!" insert mom laughing uncontrollably....."I am bleeping done with this.... I am getting on a train and going to bleeping Greece to sit on a bleeping beach in bleeping 30 degree weather"..... Mom still laughing.....so that is pretty much how my day ended....as we found the next albergue and checked in on the third floor!!!
Rewind to this morning.... A much happier time...we both had awesome sleeps, there were only seven of us in this big albergue.... We had a bit of privacy as we had a bunk bed in a little room with a door but no ceiling so we could hear everyone.... All five of them....hahaha.... Everyone was up at it and out the door in the dark.... Mom and I are not so eager so we got up had breakfast and coffee and on our way by 730....we walked 5 km to a small village called Maneru which was a cute village and a big graveyard... We are now starting to pass lots of olive groves and vineyards .... Saw a few old guys out working in them....the next town of Cirauqui 4 kms away is a beautiful medieval town on top of a hill ... Another hill...!!! It was pretty cool but by this point it could of been Buckingham Palace for all I cared I was hot hungry and tired... We found a little store and was able to enjoy a diet coke and a sweet bun!!!! Picked up some lunch groceries and made our way up through the town....on the way out of town we walked along a roman road and bridge..... There were a couple of medieval bridges along the way..... Next town of Larcos was 6 kms away.... The longest 6 kms EVER!!!! We found some steps and ate lunch.... At this point I was done I may of even cried inside ....by about one we found a bridge and shade and drank the last of our water it was a big hill up into the town..... I went ahead up the hill mom at her own pace I waited for her in the shade.... And again we went.... Have I mentioned it is 30 degrees out and not a cloud in the sky??? I stopped again and waited in the shade when mom got there I had my meltdown ..... Bleep Bleep!!!! On we went up to the top of the hill and found the first albergue we could.... Well it is the only one!! Pilgrims supper was great.... Salad and pasta and only one glass of wine!!! So tired and off to sleep.... Gnight!!

Lavinia Martha: Thanks for your story. A quote for the next time. "On the day when the weight deadens on your shouders and you stumble, May the clay dance to balance you." (Beannact = Blessing by John O'Donohue)
