Well I guess isn't as interesting as when you are travelling around but at least you get to know a city really well if you live here or at least you think you would.
Beijing is huge and there are new districts being added all the time, apparently there are 6 new areas on the go to add to the vast amount already.
So today I thought I would brave the Subway alone. I took myself off on my new bike and cycled down to the station before getting onto the train.
I was minding my own business when an eldery man appraoched me and asked if I was ok and knew where I was going, I explained I was fine and that the idea was to maybe get lost and then find myself.
The old man the asked if I wouldn't mind just talking to him as he would like to practice his English so I gladly obliged in to some friendly converstaion about nothing significant.
He was very grateful and said that my English was beautiful and very easy to understand as I don't really have an accent. Elocution lessons worked Mom when I was younger then.
He left a very happy man and I just pottered of on my own, well I didn't get lost and was totally fine. Instead of pushing my luck though I thought it was safer to head home before dark as I have no lights on my geek mobile as of yet.
I can't wait to get my passport back with my residency visa in it so I can pop to a few other places.
I will add picks soon of beijing and my new home that has a walk in wardrobe.....is there any need really.
