So here we are in Beijing after a vary eventful train journey from Hong Kong. We got on our overnight sleeper to find that some little man had been put in with us, poor him i hear you say well exactly right. Anyway as if i didn't moonie him by accident, throw my crisps, hairbrush and camera all in the same day (all accidentally by the way). Well he was about 80 and well sweet, he got up in the middle of the night to do some tai chi which was well random as i was the only one who woke to this and found it rather fascinating. The train journey was 25 hours in total and about 15 hours was spent sleeping which was all good as needed a really big catch up from the nights out in Hong Kong.Well we eventually arrive in Beijing at the train station to find that very few people actually spoke English.
Managed to convince a taxi driver to take us to some very random hostel which is all good with our little bunkbeds. Anyway we went for a quick explore around the area which is surrounded by embassies and consulates as well as one street full off bars which was all good. We wne out for Thai food which blew us away as it was that spicy but very good. Claire and I then put Hannah to bed as she was so tired and headed out to the local bars for some cabaret acts. The one bar had an open stage and people from off the street just came in and did one act and then left so we had everything from ballet, belly dancing and singing. We eventually dragged ourselves back to the hostel at about 2am this morning as we had to get up early to go on tour.
It was a top day and night though
