Well today was yet another packed out day with a trip to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. We spent most of the day roaming around the forbidden city which was home to the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the 16th and 17th century. Its a rather spectacular place although it does need some work doing on it. Its just full off history and doesn't really get used for anything apart from tourism. When you walk around this place you can picture what it was really like in its day. The gardens were fantastic and the bridges are all made out of white marble.
The three of us were the only 3 europeans about and got asked many times to have our photos with very random people, which we obliged to quite willingly.
Next stop was Tiananmen Square which is the largest public square in the world. Plenty of history surrounds this place too what with demo's and things like that. I won't bore you too much with it as am sure you all know about it anyway.
Eventually we did make it back to the hostel and out for dinner and way too many drinks but it was a great laugh anyway. Have been to some top places.
