Day 2 My trip to Tianjin for my medical.
So at half six in the mornig we set off to Tianjin for our medicals.....well what another treat of a day this turned out to be.
We picked Tracey up.....who is the lady taking care us during these initial weeks and set off on our way.
Sitting on a very knackered bus isnt my idea of fun especially when the heating system is non existant and its baltic outside and at the very start of the journey another driver decided to crash in to the side of the bus.....great start to a 3 hour journey.
Anyway insurance details were not passed over however a wedge of cash from the other driver to deal with the damage. One of the other teachers Bryan had only just been saying "there doesn't appear to be many bumps and scratches on any othe cars on the road." Well we managed to fine one of the few,
Medicals for a cruise ship are so much better than what I had to go through today.
Picture this a long corridor with lots of little rooms going of them and lots of patients just going in and out......as a patient you're allowed to watch what occurs to other patients....no privacy here.
Poked and prodded, ultra sounded, x-rayed, ecg'd and I think my 2 favourites were giving blood to a psycho nurse and peeing in the smallest container ever whilst trying to pop and squat over a hole in the floor as well as trying to keep the door shut as no locks.
Psycho nurse couldn't find a vein....whilst there were lots of spectators think it was the pressure...but eventually did, so she took her blood and then just left me too bleed out everywhere......but i'm ok.
The weeing next.....take the smallest pot, pop a squat, have your levels measured and then throw the contents in to a pedal bin with no flap that closed on the top.
So hygienic........not!!!!!!!! I wish i had taken photos but oh yes youre not allowed to as im in China and you get in to bother.
Well after that trauma 3 beers were consumed and it was back to Beijing.
