Day 37. Up early as we are getting picked up for our flight on a float plane with Kimberley Air. Adam our young pilot was so friendly and knowledgable on the East Kimberley region. We flew at about 2,500 metres over massive blue Lake Argyle to the Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park. Hundreds of beautiful red, orange and black domes resembling rounded beehives. Followed Picaninny Gorge, Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Gorge and many wild dry watercourses. We marvelled at the beauty of this special place only fully discovered by white people 32 years ago! Adam pointed out several areas culturally important to aboriginal people. A water landing on a remote island in Lake Argyle for morning tea and then back over the Ord River and crop areas to land on Lake Kununurra. A very memorable trip! After lunch we drove down Packsaddle Road to see many orchards and the Zebra Rock shop. Our last night in Kununurra so we booked into the nearby Pump House Restaurant for sunset drinks and dinner by the lake. Warm 27 degrees today with no wind.
