Day 33. We have finally arrived in the East Kimberley at small township of Kunnunurra where we will base ourselves for the next 5 days. Lots of exciting activities planned! We are at Big 4 Discovery Park on the edge of beautiful Lake Kunnunurra. First, grocery shopping to replenish our stocks after passing through Western Australian Quarantine at the border station. A quick lunch at the van and then dropped Raechel off at the Kimberley Diamond Shop (dangerous I know) while I explored the town. Many green shady parks and lots of brothers sitting around. Next out along Weaber Plains Road to the Sandlewood Factory for more shopping and afternoon tea. Watched an interesting video on sandlewood production. Back along the expansive fields of crops (mainly chia and sandlewood) stopping at Ivanhoe Crossing on the very wide Ord River for the view. Later a brilliant golden sunset over Lake Kunnunurra from our van. Dinner tonight spaghetti bolognaise and salad with a red. Comfy 26 degrees today, drove 300km.
