Day 42. Today we are on a full day tour with Windjana Tours in their big 4WD bus to Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek National Parks formed from the 350 million Devonian Reef, a 350km round trip. Day 41. An early morning bike ride across the very wide mud flats to the jetty. Two brand new barges were being unloaded from road trains for the barramundi offshore acqua farm. The drivers have been on the road for 6 days from St Helens in Tasmania where the barges were made! A great Australian story! Day 40. We have finally reached the West Kimberley port town of Derby located on King Sound, population 5,000, noted for its king tides up to 12 metres which are one of the highest in the world and unusual boab trees. The port once exported live cattle, wool and pearl shell but now relies on lead and zinc exports.
