Day 38. Very early departure from lovely Kununurra today as on Ross' recommendation, we have decided on a long haul into the West Kimberley and to spend 2 nights at the Fitzroy Crossing Lodge Caravan Park. Refuelled and lunch at Halls Creek, noticed lots of brothers sitting around in the shade. Very busy little town but we will move on. Beautiful interesting scenery all day, big red escarpments, waterholes, big dry rivers and gentle brahmas cattle. Arrived into Fitzroy for afternoon tea. Tonight we are having the Lodge's special barramundi and chips with a drink at the bar. Drove 640km today, hot 30 degrees.
