Day 93. Up very early for a big day travelling east to Eucla on the Eyre Highway following the Great Australian Bight. We were surprised about the famous 'treeless' Nullarbor- plenty of trees and wildflowers and even a long range of hills that went for a hundred or more kilometres. Day 92. We left Kalgoorlie early this morning for the drive south to Norseman where stopped for lunch in the park. Refuelled again and then we turned due east onto the Eyre Highway which will take us across the Nullarbor Plain tomorrow. We are staying tonight at Fraser Range Station about 90km out of Norseman. Day 91. Lazy start to Sunday with poached eggs and toast for breakfast. Then we drove through the nearby Boulder town centre with its beautifully maintained heritage buildings to the lookout at the Super Pit of the Golden Mile, the richest gold mine in the world. Day 90. We left Esperance at 7.30am for our long haul up to Kalgoorlie driving through some scenic salmon gum (Eucalyptus salmonophloia) woodlands and rising to over 300m elevation with a strong crosswind. Day 89. Awoke to a fine, sunny day of 24 degrees so we packed a picnic lunch and headed off to Cape Le Grand National Park. We were amazed at the beauty of the Cape, the wildflowers, brilliant white sandy beaches and rocky outcrops and peaks.
