This morning we headed south from Tanunda in the Barossa Valley through Lyndoch, past the vast vineyards of Jacobs Creek, Kellermeister and Grant Burge, the rolling hills are so pretty and green. Day 103. Today we are exploring the beautiful green Barossa Valley and wine tasting. First a drive from Tanunda up Menglers Hill Road to the lookout for a scenic view of the whole Barossa Valley, one of Australia's premium wine growing areas, notably big reds. Day 102. Farewell to Lyn and Colin in Port Broughton and we were on our way down to the Barossa Valley. We have really enjoyed our time here catching up with family. Up over the Barunga Pass through Bute and Snowtown, past the large wind farm turbines, the fields are so green with wheat, barley, chick peas and broadbeans and yellow canola. Day 101. Today we went on an outing with Raechel's sister Lyn and mother Sylvia to the nearby small towns of Wallaroo and Kadina in the Copper Coast Region. At Wallaroo we saw the huge grain storage silos and bunkers holding wheat, barley and legumes. A ship was being loaded by conveyor belt with wheat being exported to Egypt. Day 100. A lazy sunny day in Port Broughton on the Yorke Peninsular. We visited Raechel's sister Lynette and husband Colin for late morning tea, then Raechel's dear old Mum Sylvia in the Burunga Village. So nice to see all again, it does not seem like three months have passed since our last visit.
