After our previous Kayak disaster we thought that today might be a good day for another attempt. The day was sunny with no wind so we launched the Kayaks from the boat ramp near our camp. The water was like glass with lovely reflections and we paddled across the lake towards the Botanical Gardens. There were a couple of Pelicans down there who weren’t too worried about our presence. Packed up and left Agnes Water by 9:00 am and unfortunately left our navigation in the hands of google which was possibly a mistake as we seemed to do a lot of zig zagging before reaching the Bruce Highway again for the trip to the Sunshine Coast. Woke to quite a cool morning so kicked the diesel heater into life before getting up! Gee I’m glad the company that installed it put the controls next to my bed! Once we got up the caravan was warm and it was sunny again outside so had breakfast outside although we did also light the firepit! (We’ve obviously become wooses!)
