Thought we’d spend today on Bribie Island as it is where one of our granddaughters live. The bridge to the island is just near our park so it didn’t take long to get there. Ellie, our granddaughter, was having a swimming lesson at the local pool, so we sat and watched, giving encouragement from the poolside. We awoke to the diesel heater not working on a chilly morning so I thought the best course of action was to have a nice hot shower. The lights seemed to be flickering a little as the pump ran but I lathered my hair in shampoo anyway at which point the power cut out completely! No more pumped water or lights. Arrg!! Fortunately there was some water in the kettle and a thermos from yesterday so I was able to flush out (in the semi darkness) the rest of the shampoo....
