Packed up and left Agnes Water by 9:00 am and unfortunately left our navigation in the hands of google which was possibly a mistake as we seemed to do a lot of zig zagging before reaching the Bruce Highway again for the trip to the Sunshine Coast. Stopped between Bundaberg and Childers for lunch and then set about trying to find a tap so that we could refill our tanks. The only one Wikicamps could locate close by was in Pomona, so we navigated there only to find the tap was in a fenced area so far from the caravan that our hoses wouldn’t reach. Then we noticed that the road out led to a bridge marked 2.7M! No thanks, our van is about that high! We backed out with Lisa wearing her hi-vis vest and stopping the traffic as I managed to turn the van around. On then to the campground, not free but lovely and away from anyone else and on the banks of Lake MacDonald about 20km from Noosa. We had water and power so all good. Then I realised that I’d left my box of plumbing fittings back at the tap we’d been trying to hook up to. We drove the 20 mins back but they were gone! Off then to the local IGA where I got some replacement tap fittings. Returned then to camp and a nice fire and another stiff drink!
