Another early start and we were rolling by 8:00am. Headed north through very dry land to the Queensland border town of Hebel where we stooped for a photo. Also noticed a sign to the town of Goodooga which many years ago won an ABC competition in the search for the most boring town in Australia. Likely contenders like Melbourne and Canberra were overlooked as the most exciting thing to do here, it was said, was to visit the petrol station to see if the numbers on the petrol bowser had changed! Then to Thallon and our first Silo Mural which was great. Onward to the Nindigully Pub, apparently the oldest in Queensland, for a beer and a look at some of the memorobilia. They hold an annual pig race here to raise money for the Flying Doctors. Another 150 or so km to Goondiwindi where we don’t feel so outback and we will stop in the caravan park for the night.
