It was a slow drive out at about 10 km/h until we hit the main road. We were able to average about 30-40km/h after this making the trip a bit more bearable. The Manning Gorge walk started with crossing the river by boat to get to the other side where the 2km walk began. The boat is rigged up to a pulley system so you just hop in and use the rope to pull yourself across. A big drive today with driving most of the day and with the start of the dirt corrugated road. We crossed the Pentecost River and then went back to do it again to get a clear photograph without other cars.
