This morning at the park we ran into a family that we met on the first week of our trip. It's strange how you can bump into people thousands of kilometres later. Today was a sightseeing day of Kununurra. I expected it to be a busy day but we were done by lunch and that included doing some errands along the way. We went to Kelly's k*** Lookout first. It gave a good view of the area but wasn't anything amazing. Next was Ivanhoe Crossing. It used to be the main road through to Wyndham but is now closed. Not much to tell today. We just drove back up to Kununurra where we will meet Kenan and Clare tomorrow. We have a great site right on the freshwater lake. We spent the afternoon swimming in the pool.

Today we explored the northern section of the park. We started with the biggest walk which was 2.2km each way into Mini Palms Gorge. It started easy up a dirt track, then lead to a rocky riverbed before getting harder having to scramble over and around huge boulders of conglomerate rock. It lead to a big chasm which was worth the walk. Zach finds these type of walks better as they are more interesting when it involves climbing rather then a flat unchanging track....

Today is one of the hottest days we have had at 35 degrees. We planned to explore the southern end of the park today, trying to get an early start to beat the heat.
