A big drive today with driving most of the day and with the start of the dirt corrugated road. We crossed the Pentecost River and then went back to do it again to get a clear photograph without other cars. It was a very shallow crossing but did look great with the Cockburn Ranges in the background.
About 10km past the crossing there is a lookout with great views of the region. We pulled into Manning Gorge campground late afternoon and spent the rest of the day around camp.
