We started the day with a walk up to Genoa Peak. It was a 2 hour return trip with most of it being a slight incline and getting steep at the end. The wind has settled down a lot today but we decide there isn’t much to do here unless you go on a boat tour which I wasn’t interested in this time. So we drove on stopping at Stony Creek bridge which is the longest wooden trestle bridge in the southern hemisphere. Built in 1916, it is 276m long and 19m high. Last night we didn't get much sleep with strong gusts of wind picking up in the middle of the night. It was quite bad, really shaking the roof and pushing the canvas sides, it was the worst we have experienced. We had the windows open so that the wind could flow through to minimise the impact but we were just getting lots of dirt blown in. Leaving Melbourne we didn't have a destination planned, we just took it as it come. Grey Skies filled the air but at least the temperature was warm. We ended up camping at a great free camp at Marlay Point Yacht Club on Lake Wellington. This is just a short drive from Sale. We had a waterfront spot and it was great to spend the afternoon relaxing listening to music with great views.

With Matt back at home to do his final test for his contractors license, it was just myself and the boys in Melbourne. Nothing interesting to report today, we just baked some brownies taking advantage of the oven here that we don't get too often and did some cleaning in preparation for leaving Melbourne tomorrow.
