Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
The Manning Gorge walk started with crossing the river by boat to get to the other side where the 2km walk began. The boat is rigged up to a pulley system so you just hop in and use the rope to pull yourself across.
The walk started easy but got harder towards the end having to climb down rocks, plus the heat makes everything seem harder. There is a beautiful big swimming area and not too many people there. There was a shallow section the boys could play on but we did need to watch them on the slippery rocks. Kenan and Matt jumped from the waterfall here and Zach and I had a good swim behind the falls. This spot is a favourite of mine. The option of a swim at the end(upon return) of the walk doesn't happen too often so it was nice to jump in and cool off again upon returning at the river beside camp.
After lunch we packed up stopped at Galvan's Gorge. It was a short walk and nice spot but the water wasn’t as clear and inviting as other gorges. Clare and I stayed on the banks whilst Zach and Liam swam in the rings and Matt and Kenan played on the tarzan swing.
We camped beside the Adcock River which was a nice spot.
