Matt dropped Kenan and Clare off at the airport before we headed to Cable Beach for lunch and a swim. The waves were quite small so the boys had a great time in the water. It takes us about 20mins to drive into Broome from our caravan park. We chose to stay here though because it was really cheap for them to store the caravan for a few days while we drove up the Dampier Peninsula. Leaving the Gibb River Road we went into Derby to look at the low and high tides at the jetty which are the 9th biggest in the world. The jetty has only rails on one side so at low tide it is a strange feeling to look over the edge with the big drop. Watching the gush of water rush in gives a great understanding on how fast the water is moving which it needs to in order to rise approximately 10m in 6 hours.
