Today we explored the northern section of the park. We started with the biggest walk which was 2.2km each way into Mini Palms Gorge. It started easy up a dirt track, then lead to a rocky riverbed before getting harder having to scramble over and around huge boulders of conglomerate rock. It lead to a big chasm which was worth the walk. Zach finds these type of walks better as they are more interesting when it involves climbing rather then a flat unchanging track....

Today is one of the hottest days we have had at 35 degrees. We planned to explore the southern end of the park today, trying to get an early start to beat the heat. It has been nice to wake up earlier with the sun now rising around 5:15. It means we get our day started earlier unlike the Northern Territory where we wouldn't get up until 7:30a.m. I am also enjoying the nights getting dark earlier.
