Today we had a relaxing day by the beach. The boys mostly played with their trucks outside with Zach building a quarry. We went on some walks up the hills and collected some interesting shells along the beach. We found many empty crab shells at low tide and some interesting corals.

We stopped at Port Hedland and had lunch in a park near the ship loading dock. It was a nice spot and the ships were massive. They take 24-36 hours to load a ship! We also drove past the salt farms and big stockpiles of it. We arrived at our camp in the afternoon and found a great spot by ourselves overlooking the beach. We didn't do very much today. After packing up we drove a few hours south and camped along the Warlu Way at Sandfire Roadhouse. It has only a small area (about 14) of powered sites at a decent price. The appealing aspect is all the animals here. Peacocks and geese roam around. There are wallabies, chickens, a bull and a camel. There were also quite a few white peafowl which are just as pretty as the coloured ones.

We were going to stay at camp today but decided to go into Broome again so I could finish updating my blog and Matt could buy some wheel nuts for the trailer that rattled off on the Gibb River Road. Yesterday we ran into a family we met in Cairns and so decided to catch up with them. They are also from the Gold Coast and have two girls around the same age as our boys. We had a good catch up and our kids were having so much fun together that we ended up staying ...

Matt dropped Kenan and Clare off at the airport before we headed to Cable Beach for lunch and a swim. The waves were quite small so the boys had a great time in the water. We caught the sunset at Gantheaume Point and then drove back to camp in the dark for the second night in a row. We saw the replica dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point.
