Today we spent most of the day working but met up with two English girls, Suzy and Gemma, who we made friends with a while ago when they stayed in our resort. We got them a half price room and spent the evening out for dinner and shopping. They had both had a great time in India but had bad stomachs for the last few days so we only ordered two meals between the four of us at Indian Spice, the restaurant where we met Mark and Michael by mistake at the beginning of our stay in Goa. The food was lovely as before and the girls had a great time. On the way back I suggested we walk the length of the street looking at shops before we got a cab and Suzy was off! She's handbag mad and there are loads of 'genuine fake leather' shops that do knock off designer bags. We must have gone in about ten of them in the space of half an hour J She did get two great bags though. After chatting to them for some time we realised they had come to Goa with only a rucksack each. The cogs in my brain whirred and I realised they must have the same 20kg luggage allowance we did but only about 8kgs of luggage between them. I asked if they could take a few of the things we had bought back to the UK for us and they offered to take the lot. When we got back to the resort we packed up everything we had bought into our holdall and although it must have weighed about 8kgs itself they took it back on the plane at 5am the next day. We were so relived. It was a big worry thinking we would have to post it all, would it get lost, would it get broken, would it cost us the earth? Phew!
