Well it’s off on the road trip from Monday 4th May so hopefully we will see the end of the rain and cold soon. We are planning away looking at places to visit and have been given lots of tips from various people, now all we have to do is stock up the van with rice and veggies and lots of duvets from the Sally Army, finish putting post it notes all over the map of places to try and find (try being the operative word here I’m not the greatest navigator!).

This morning we had booked for Scuba training, which was basically a dive in the swimming pool for free plus a video showing you how to work the gear. The gym was the first port of call for today. We were still trying to keep up the fitness we had found in Melbourne and a free gym was too good a chance to pass up. After about an hour Shaun and I were done and we decided the best thing to do was to ‘Baywatch’ into the sea. Today the weather was poor when we woke so we started the day in the gym. After that we decide to take part in one of the free activities provided, river Kayaking. The river ran down one side of the resort and inland. We met the instructor Nathan who gave us life jackets and paddles and we headed down to the jetty. We left mama’s early in an excited mood as we were off to the airport, for the first time not to get on a plane but to pick up Shaun (a friend from the UK). We were so excited to hear all the news from home, and have a friend with us for the next 10 days. His flight was a Korea Air flight via sole, which took two days.
