Goa. Today we got on our very short haul flight, just time for them to serve lunch and stuff it down before we were landing! I managed to find Salman Rushtie's 'Midnights Children' at the airport which I have been looking for since we arrived. I was going to buy it in England to read over here where its set but as he was chucked out of the country I wasn't sure it would be a good thing to have in my bag - turns out they have most of his books here. We made friends with the lady sitting next to us, Mrs DeSuza, on the plane and she decided to get her son to help us get to the hotel. Everyone here is so nice! It turned out that when we landed Ivor was there collecting his luggage, he'd been on our flight all along J he ended up giving us a lift along the coast through beautiful scenery and fresh air. It made us realise just how dirty and noisy Mumbai was.The resort, Mello Rosa is very beautiful. It's shaped like those in Spain, Portugal a square with a pool and palm trees in the middle. The base of each block has something in it, the restaurant/laundry/massage room/beauty salon. Our room is at the base of A block next to the caretakers. It not really an apartment as Mrs DeMello (Eve) described but its large and has a fan and AC, and the shower works with hot water J Tomorrow we met with Ivor and our new boss, all we know is that he was in the air force…
