Today we decided to do what most people our age do when they come to Goa - go to a rave! There was a dance festival on the beach in Candolim, a short bike ride away, that Mark invited us to - so off we went.It was pretty empty. Sadly with the bombs, economic downturn and everything else going on Goa has really had a hit with the tourist numbers this year. It was obvious they were prepared for a huge festival with proper security, fences, stalls, a token system for buying things and various other precautions - but there was only about 100-150 people there. We still had fun and bought some cool presents for people, I danced quite a bit in my bikini on the sand but really it would have worked a lot better with 1000 people there. I was sad to find that in spite of my dancing in bikini fun that I was still by far the whitest person there - it was almost all Europeans. Marks new friend Mark even commented on the fact he'd only been in Goa a week but he was twice as tanned as me.
