Woke around 730am after a very good night's sleep! It's still really warm and we were able to sleep with the window open. Today is the first day of the whale migration season so we sat and had coffee scanning the ocean for any sign of them! After breakfast we headed to the camp kitchen and spent the morning doing schoolwork. We pushed the kids a bit today as I doubt we will get much done in Sydney next week as there will be too much to see and travelling in and out of the city will take time. Once we got back to the van Matty recovered from the stress of it all by taking to his bed with bunny who he found hidden behind my bed! We had lunch and then spent the afternoon on Surf Beach, as it was 25 degrees. The waves were awesome and we all hit the boogie boards, although some of the waves were a bit strong for the boys!! Around 3pm Annie had had enough so I walked her home and put her in the shower where an entire beach fell out of her bathers!! I was a bit worried about blocking the sullage pipe, especially when Katharine got in the shower and added even more sand. The boys were sensible and used the amenity block! After a coffee we walked to the lighthouse, as it is supposedly one of the top five places to spot whales from in NSW. Unfortunately we didn't spot any but several have been spotted in Sydney according to the news tonight so maybe we will have better luck there! Nick cooked a curry for dinner and then everyone watched a movie before bed.
