Saturday 26th September - Heading for Home

We wandered back down the main shopping street, me flopping along and Jannie just had to go into this shop and sort out a jacket that she "Needed or Wanted". We had just sent surplus clothing home the day before but she reckonedshe would get a lot of use out of it??

We went back to the La Place Carnot and sat in the dappled sunlight under the trees and had a beer and listened to the awful loud, mostly flat, group of singers.

After the beer we went back to the apartment so that I could fix my sandal. So Jannie made crackers with cheese and tomato and we had a red wine to go with it.

We have booked to go out for dinner to Le Cathare, a restaurant that Lydie, the owner of the apartment, recommended so it will be nice to go down those 62 steos and have a nice night out.

As I write this the bells of every church in the area are ringing their bells and the out of tune singers are still singing in the background.
