Wednesday 23rd September - Lunch and Onwards to Carcassone
We had lunch and went and got the car and soon continued on towards Carcassone.
The streets in Carcassone were even narrower than we had previously experienced but we found the street where our apartment was.
We rang Lydie Pierrot who owns the apartment and had to wait for 15 minutes for her to arrive with her 6 year old daughter Margot who is just starting to learn English. She was delightful.
They showed us where to park but before that I had to lug the cases up 62 steps to the apartment on the third floor. Talk about cardiac steps!!
We followed Lydie to the parking building where our car will stay for the length of time we are here. Driving narrow streets doesn't thrill me much.
Back to the apartment for a "Nicola" dinner of bread, tomato, saussisone, olive oil and a red wine. Yum.
Pretty tired so will be early to bed tonight.
