After breakfasting at a cafe in Waterloo Station, we walked down to the Waterloo Bridge and then along the river to the Millennium Bridge where we crossed over to St Paul's. We decided not to buy an entry ticket as it was fairly expensive and we had been there before. We caught a bus to the Tower of London and had a look through the outside souvenir shop before we stopped for lunch at an al fresco cafe on the river.
After that we continued down to the Tower Bridge which we crossed to the other side before continuing on through a lot of modern redevelopment to The Shard. We were a bit shocked at the cost, but we decided to 'grin and bear it' and pay the £30 each for the ride up to the top to see the 'View from The Shard'. I couldn't really say it was 'worth it' but it was still a really good view from the highest point in London.
After that, we caught the tube from London Bridge to Oxford Circus for a bit of shopping.
