This morning we caught the tube from Waterloo to Euston where we changed to an overland train to Watford Junction. Outside the station we caught a shuttle bus to the Warner Brothers Leavesden Studios to see the The Making of Harry Potter exhibition. We spent about four hours perusing all the sets and props before retracing our steps back to London.
We made it back in time to catch the end of the English stage of the Tour de France. We watched on the big screen in Trafalgar Square for a while and then made our way down the Mall for the finish. There were too many people to get a good view but we were very close to the finish line and could see it on a big screen.
After the crowd started to dissipate we walked back up the course to Buckingham Palace before heading back to the hotel along Birdcage Walk.
We heard on the news that a Eurostar train had broken down in the channel tunnel today and the passengers had to get out into the service tunnel.
