This morning, we took a trip on the Jacobite Train from Fort William to Mallaig, a small fishing village on the western coast. This morning, we started off heading for Inverness but stumbled across the Culloden Moor Battlefield on the way. This was the site of a famous battle in 1746 between the Jacobites and the Hanoverians. There was a big visitor centre with interactive displays etc but we chose not to pay for entry.
