The last 4 days have been spent at Lake Argyle Resort. This is a beautiful spot with the park overlooking the enormous man made Lake Argyle. The last few days have been spent in Kununurra. Along the water, watching crocs creep up the banks each night. This is a really interesting area with so much water from the Ord River. We spent time around the pool but also visited the Kelly's k*** look out, with great panoramic views of the town. Arrived yesterday at Bungle Bungle Station Stay at the turn off to the Purnululu National Park. We were initially unsure of our plan and if we could drive ourselves into the park and once here we were convinced to take the group tour via 4WD bus. This was definitely the right choice. A drive day today, from Derby to Fitzroy Crossing. Had intended to free camp but for the first day of winter the 36 degree temp was a bit hard to cope with! So we stopped at the Fitzroy River Lodge for green camp sites and a cool pool. A drive into town was fruitless. A public holiday today so nothing much happening. Plenty of locals milling around but seems like it would be a busy place in the peak season.

Said goodbye to Broome and Nan and Pop yesterday. Had such a nice time there and with them we were all a bit deflated to leave. But as always it was good to keep moving.
