The Howlett's Travels
The last few days have been spent in Kununurra. Along the water, watching crocs creep up the banks each night. This is a really interesting area with so much water from the Ord River. We spent time around the pool but also visited the Kelly's k*** look out, with great panoramic views of the town. The area is also used to cultivate Sandalwood products and there are plantations everywhere, which is quite remarkable in such a remote area. So we visited the sandalwood factory along with dreaming a little in the couple of the Argyle Diamond jewellery shops. The Argyle Mine is very close but even still the diamonds are not even close to being affordable. On the road again tomorrow, to Lake Argyle.
