Out of Perth and heading north. Our destination was a farm stay just outside of the Nambung National Park about 250km away. This national park is renowned for its sand dunes and the limestone rocks protruding through them. The most famous section is known as the Pinnacles. We arrived at the farm about lunch time and joined another traveler on a drive out to the national park. The farm owners have a secret entrance into the sand dunes and to an area to see many of the rocks. This was a great adventure, driving along a 7km dirt road, entering a barb wire fence and walking through scrub before we were on the dunes. Tully was up and down the dunes and the outlook was amazing. This felt like a private tour and saves us from the touristy drive to the actual pinnacles tomorrow. Not sure of our plans from here. There is a cyclone off the coast of Exmouth so we are thinking we may have to slow our progress to avoid hitting bad weather.
