The day of trees.....Left Albany for Pemberton today. Stopped at the Valley of the Giants tree top walk. In between Denmark and Walpole, a 600m walkway that rises 40m above the forest floor. Amazing to be walking amongst the canopy of these enormous trees. We also walked the trail of Ancient Empire, amongst the bases of these giant tingle trees which actually gives better perspective of their size. After surviving some terrible roads we arrived in Pemberton and the Glouscester Tree. This tree was once used as a fire look out and is 53m high. Needless to say Jarrod climbed all the way to the top but I remained with my feet firmly on the ground. Tully also stayed on the ground much to his disgust. From here we arrived at our camp for the night, Big Brook Arboretum. A basic free camp site nestled in the bush.
