A drive day today, from Derby to Fitzroy Crossing. Had intended to free camp but for the first day of winter the 36 degree temp was a bit hard to cope with! So we stopped at the Fitzroy River Lodge for green camp sites and a cool pool. A drive into town was fruitless. A public holiday today so nothing much happening. Plenty of locals milling around but seems like it would be a busy place in the peak season.
