So we left Beasley for Paraburdoo. This was a real highlight for all of us as Jarrod spent the first few years of his life here when Bev & Haydn lived here working in the mine. Left our free camp with the intent to make it to Beasley River Rest Area, another free camp. This turned out to be a great spot on the banks of another dry river. Was a smallish camp area and by dinner was quite full. We had started a communal camp fire and enjoyed getting to know some other travellers. Tully had a ball with some other girls his age so everyone was happy!

Decide to have another day in Exmouth and finally left this morning. Had the day yesterday relaxing with another swim for Tully. We also visited the Mildura ship wreck, visible in the water from land. The ship ran aground in 1907 after getting caught in a cyclone. Arrived in Exmouth yesterday after struggling with accommodation in Coral Bay. Different story here and we had no problems. The weather is beautiful, a warm 28 degrees during the day and only down to 20 overnight. So we made the most of it and had a swim in the pool. We bought Tully a swimming vest in Perth and he is thriving in the water. Super confident now jumping in and swimming on his own knowing his vest will keep him afloat! From Carnarvon to Coral Bay. Arrived just before lunch. Having not experienced many other people on the road we didn't book ahead and so only able to book one night. Filled in the afternoon with a swim in the beautiful Ningaloo Reef. The amazing blue, clear water was too nice to pass up but still pretty chilly.
